Imogen completed her bachelor degree in both Australia and Hong Kong, and graduated from the University of Newcastle, Australia, with first class honours. Her thesis explored the treatment of stuttering in Mandarin Chinese, and she has a particular interest in the development of speech pathology services in Asia.
Imogen has experience working with children and teenagers in both school and clinic settings, addressing issues related to speech production, language development, social skills, fluency, feeding, and voice. Imogen is also certified in the Hanen Centre’s ‘It Takes Two to Talk’ program, for parents of late talking children.
Imogen’s experience working with adults includes accent and intelligibility coaching as well as treatment for fluency and voice disorders. She has also practiced in both acute and rehabilitation hospital settings, working on both communication and feeding with adults following cerebrovascular accident or similar.
Imogen strongly believes that every person deserves individualised support to best achieve their communication, social, and academic goals. She values each person’s diverse range of strengths and the way these can be used to empower change and growth in an individual.
