Meet Our Director

Nikki is passionate about guiding families in Hong Kong to the correct therapy support - whether it be Speech - Language Therapy (SLT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Play Therapy, Parent - Child Support / Training or more Clinical Based Support (e.g. offering Clinical Ed - Psych School Based Assessments).

It is important for Nikki to help families figure out what type of therapy support may be needed so that they can gain clarity and receive the care and support they need. Offering a variety of Lower and Upper Primary School Screenings such as SLT, OT, Emotional - Behavioural and Social screeners to help guide families in the right direction.

Nikki has a Masters in Counselling and has graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University, UK, with a PGD in Practice Based Play Therapy. She is a a Registered Counsellor and Full Member of Hong Kong Society of Counselling and Psychology (HKSCP) and a Full (Accredited) Member of Play & Creative Arts Therapists (UK), Play Therapy International (PTI), Play Therapy Hong Kong (PTHK) and is a Member of the Hong Kong Family Law Association (HKFLA).

Nikki specialises in child therapy - personally offering both Play Therapy and Counselling, which uses a psychotherapeutic approach primarily used to help children between 3 and 16 years old to resolve any emotional or behavioural challenges. Nikki spends a lot of time ensuring that children and families feel supported outside of therapy by going above and beyond to make families feel more empowered and equipped to manage stress, emotions and behaviour at home. She has been living and working in Hong Kong since 2005, and believes that individual therapy has a great deal of benefit, but that when working closely with families and equipping them with the right strategies, tools and techniques to use at home can have a positive ripple affect within the family.

She has a particular interest in working with children going through the changes and difficulties that come from experiencing divorce or separation. She helps children process and explore thoughts, feelings and experiences about their parents’ divorce / separation. She provides a safe environment, where relationships are fostered and children are acknowledged, validated and heard. She also supports parents’ during this emotional process.

Her extensive experience & education includes Social + Emotional Intelligence (S+EI), Art therapy, Play Therapy, Attachment, Teaching, Child Development, Counselling, Infant Massage, Creative Arts, Baby Bonding, Child Life Coaching, Divorce/ Separation, Self – Esteem, Parenting Support, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Neuro – Linguistic Programming, Positive Psychology & Social Psychology.
